On a mission to harness the power of nature while incorporating environmentally responsible practices — enabling production closer to our communities for a healthier food system.

Organic Aqua Fresh is born in Miami-Dade's agricultural heartland with a bold vision: grow the cleanest produce possible, right here in South Florida.
Our R&D team completes the Intelligent Aquaponics System — a first-of-its-kind closed-loop ecosystem combining fish production with vertical crop growing.
Achieved full USDA Organic certification and Fresh From Florida designation, validating our commitment to clean, sustainable agriculture.
Reached 18 million servings per year milestone. Expanded product range to 39+ varieties including signature salad mixes and specialty herbs.
On track for 100% renewable energy operation. Methane generation from our digester now powers a significant portion of our facility.
Scaling the Miami production facility (19425 SW 188th St) from 3,000 to 11,000 sq ft by Q4 2026, multiplying canopy and harvest capacity.
Second commercial-scale facility in Delray Beach comes online Q1 2027, extending bilingual fresh-produce coverage to all of South Florida.
Originally from Cuba, Alex immigrated to the United States in 1995 at age 23. His academic foundation came from the University of Matanzas — civil engineering, agronomy, and English — a multi-disciplinary blend that would later define his approach to sustainable agricultural engineering.
After 25 years of operating discipline across large-scale construction and infrastructure — including 11 years as President of Paar Contractors — he applied his engineering background to the food system, launching Organic Aqua Fresh on February 13, 2020 and engineering the proprietary Intelligent Aquaponics System (IAS).
Today Alex serves as President & CEO of Organic Aqua Fresh, Inc. — part of the ESA Organics family of brands.
Organic Aqua Fresh grows some of the finest and most nutritious organic greens on the market. Based in the Redlands in Miami, Florida, our products are among the most popular greens consumed in the United States.
We bring together nature and technology to transform the future of agriculture — the perfect conditions for healthy plants to thrive without fertilizers or pesticides.
The waste and leftovers from production are transformed into clean energy and organic fertilizer — our way of healing the planet for generations to come.
